Cold Air Intakes

Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air. The Periscoop uses Volants sealed air filter box and high-velocity air intake tube. The air filter box lid also incorporates a hood seal adaptor that funnels air from a hood-mounted snorkel which extends up the passenger side of the vehicle to the roof-line. The snorkel scoop uses a polished aluminum front cover that looks great, and prevents larger debris from entering into the air intake system. This model includes a Pro-5 filter which gets reoiled every 10,000 miles and serviced every 50,000 miles with cleaning kit P/N 5100.

Eliminate your restrictive factory air box, filter, and intake tube. In their place, install one of the Volant MaxFlow 5 closed box air intake kits. They house a MaxFlow 5 oiled cotton gauze air filter that is cleanable and reusable. Being an enclosed system, the air intake keeps your engine quiet at cruising speeds, but still allows it to roar to life when you stomp on the gas. This design protects the filter and ensures that colder air is pulled in from the fender instead of the engine bay—resulting in more horsepower and torque.
